I was walking down Oxford Street today, and as I was marching in the direction of Selfridges, I allowed my mind to wander slightly and ponder on my thoughts! On doing this, I saw another girl in my dress!
While this may seem inevitable, I began thinking, is this a compliment that my dress is fabulous and therefore confirming that I have a great sense of style? Or, low and behold, are we all just clones of each other within the world of fashion? Desperately seeking to be as amazing and unique as possible but failing miserably due to the accessibility of great design these days on the fabulous British High Street and in the Department stores.
Although this thought could potentially be deeply depressing, I could not help myself but think about the stunning to delivery in Topshop's flagship store! Is this shallow of me?
No, I am simply appreciating the hard work and creativity involved in the design process of such items of beauty!
Aah, the world of fashion will never disappoint!

Perfect in Prada
We all have certain items that we lust after - I make several designer wish lists a week, and true to the name of my blog, I dream of being perfect in Prada!
This week I am being faithful to Miuccia Prada herself as I am totally in love with the new selection of Miu Miu shoes and have chosen a few to show you!
Don't you just love them?

Style...
Style.
An inevitably difficult thing to describe, as abstract nouns always are! Love, hate, jealousy...
So why on earth did my brain keep wondering, so that my thoughts pondered on the phenomenon that is style?
It is a theme that features in many people's lives but it certainly doesn't feature on page 182 of my Chemistry textbook! I seriously need to get this work done but have style constantly on the brain!
On contemplating this, I couldn't help but think what a fabulous quote this is:
"Fashions fade, style is eternal"
Yves Saint Laurent
Poetry to my ears!!!

vintage...
I wouldn't class myself as behind with the times per se, but I have never been one for second-hand shopping. I'm not a total vintage virgin, having been to several of London's vintage shops after hearing many people raving about thrift store shopping!
However, I was shopping along the King's Road yesterday when I decided to take a slight detour and pay a little visit to the Oxfam shop on Shawfield Street. To my surprise, it was full of spectacular items that are supposedly someones cast offs!!! Among the finds, were vintage leather jackets and pretty dresses...Marc Jacobs pumps...an Armani blouse...a leopard print clutch and a Hermes scarf!!!
It is to my utter disbelief how I have managed to abandon this style of shopping for so long!!!

Fashion...
Fashion.
An undeniably addictive drug that many women and girls worldwide find themselves drawn to. They get high when they have it and depressed when they don't.
The fashion world beckons you over, enticing you from the glossy pages of Vogue and dragging you through the grand doors of a department store until you are in a utopia of style that you just yearn for.
It starts with a craving for the latest Louboutins, then Manolo calls and then...you get bitten by the Choos! Soon enough, you're there in the midst of it all...addicted to the wonderful phenomenon that is fashion!
Here is my world in outfits. A couple of key looks that will carry me through the transition of seasons, albeit an unpredictable transition, as the weather in England is not exactly desirable is it??!!

A little poem I wrote in the name of Fashion!!! ...
Oh to be front row at the Cavalli show,
Perfectly preened from head to toe!
Friends totter around in twos,
looking fabulous in their Jimmy Choos!
Then I admire the collection from Vivienne Westwood,
And I would buy it all if I could!
Next day I'm on a shopping spree,
And end up with three bags from Mulberry!
I go to buy Lulu Guinness lips,
As I get my card out, my Chanel nail varnish chips!
So as the day ends, off to bed I go,
With Elle, Instyle and Vogue in tow!!!

Simplicity...
Simplicity.
Something that is not as common as you might believe in modern day life! You get it when you don't want it (at a boring party!) and don't get it when you want it (when you have a list of 100 things to do!).
On thinking about this fact, I couldn't help but wonder, is there any perfectly classic simplicity in the world? (Did you see what I did there? My Carrie Bradshaw bit!!!).
I soon found the answer though when looking at the Celine S/S 2010 collection-it is the epitome of simplistic chic!
The superbly flattering collection has clean, precise lines that epitomise the element of chic we all so often strive for when creating an effortlessly cool outfit. The luxurious clothes which have a neutral colour palette and slightly sporty element to them, are both stylish and practical!
You can hear girls all over the world longing for this whole collection!!!
